Isaiah Liljequist and the Steps for Life Walk-a-thon

On May 16th, hundreds of people will gather in Portland, Oregon, to show the love of Christ toward those our culture does little to support; specifically the unborn children, pregnant women, and those who have been impacted by abortion.

Steps for Life, a 2-mile walkathon, is an annual fund-raising event for the Pregnancy Resource Centers (PRC) of Greater Portland. This will be Isaiah Liljequist’s 4th year doing Steps for Life. The Liljequist family is a long-time supporter, and Isaiah’s older sister Alyssa was inducted into the Steps for Life Hall of Fame for raising over $10,000 for PRC.

Here is an e-mail we received from Isaiah:

Hi! My name is Isaiah Liljequist. I am a 13 year old homeschooler. This is my 4th year doing Steps for Life, continuing my sister (Alyssa)’s 12 years of fund-raising for PRC (Pregnancy Resource Centers of Greater Portland).

Thanks to the generous donations from several people, I raised a total of $1,815 last year! Please join me in my efforts to support PRC so that they can continue to provide services, education, and counseling to women and men in hope that they will choose life (including eternal life with Christ).

You can make a secure, tax-deductible online donation by visiting Isaiah Liljequist’s Personal Page for Steps for Life 2015. If you prefer, you can mail/give me a donation directly (cash or check) or you can specify your pledge amount and PRC will bill you later after the walk (May 16th).

Below is some info about PRC:

– Offering compassion, hope, and grace, PRC have been helping women and teens facing unplanned pregnancy since 1984.

– PRC serves nearly 10,400 clients each year in their 5 centers free of charge.

– PRC provide pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, peer-counseling, factual information about pregnancy, parenting, adoption, and the realities of abortion.

My sister made a video about Steps for Life.

Thanks for defending the lives of the unborn,

Isaiah Liljequist

(My parents are Eric and Urailak Liljequist)

P.S. from Isaiah’s mom, via her blog:

“We’re Christ-centered, Bible-based, mission-minded, family-bonding, character-building, & life-long learning homeschoolers. We cherish our togetherness; we enjoy learning and growing together as the Lord leads us… My husband and I have always encouraged our children to use their time, talents, and treasures to serve God and others. We are involved in a weekly outreach ministry to the international students who attend a local university, the annual shoebox project for Operation Christmas Child, our annual baking and handing out yummy goodies & gospel tracts to neighbors, etc. In 2011, our daughter served on the Logos Hope (a ministry of Operation Mobilization) in Malaysia. You can watch her video of her mission trip here. She has served in a preschool class at our church since 2010 and has served as an online missionary for Global Media Outreach since 2012. After 12 years of doing Steps for Life… my daughter passed the baton to her younger brother… I’m so delighted to see their passion to defend the defenseless and save lives!”

Would you please consider giving a donation to PRC to help save the lives of the unborn? Any amount is greatly appreciated! If you cannot give financially at this time, you can still help by sharing this link on your page and spreading the word. Thanks!
