Sweaters and scarves wrapped up tight
Falling leaves – my favorite sight.
Pumpkins placed by the door
Kids sitting cross-legged on the floor.
Fire in the fireplace crackles along
With family chatter like a song.
Apple Cider and Pumpkin Spice
Warm cups in cold hands feels so nice.
Momma cooking turkey and pies
Full bellies and loud sighs.
Life on Thanksgiving Day.
