Top Ten Anticipated e3 Games!

By Nick Maker

E3 is over so now everybody is excited for the next game franchise to come through their rooms and play it for hours. This is my list of top ten games I can’t wait to come home and play! A warning note is that if you don’t see your favorite games on this list, it’s either because I never played the franchise or it just doesn’t get me excited, this is my opinion, so please respect it and enjoy!

10. Star Fox Zero

A game that I’m excited for when it comes to shoot first ask questions later. It’s for the Wii u and to be honest the game looks okay in terms of graphics, I didn’t see anything wrong with that. Although the gameplay you have to agree looks pretty cool, my favorite part of Nintendo Direct is the free mode range where you can go any direction you want and I always prefer that way over the on-rail track.

9. Mass Effect 4

A game that I’m surprised Bioware showed up with, a new Mass Effect title and it looks great in terms of the cut scene, sadly no gameplay but you know them for being great at gameplay dialogue. Let’s just hope they don’t bomb the ending, okay people?

8. Super Mario Maker

Finally, I can be the next Miyamoto for the next Mario game. Finally I can make the hardest level that even Super Mario Bros. 2 would cry for it! Yes, the “make your own Mario level” is always a dream of mine to create something to challenge someone with my level design, and the online feature being included is going to be awesome!

7. Uncharted 4 Thief’s End

Another reason why I want a ps4 so bad! Yes, I never played the franchise but I heard great things about it and I love the sense of adventure in me, like a version of Indiana Jones; in this one well, you are Indiana Jones.

6. Rise of the Tomb Raider

Heck yes! The graphics are just phenomenal, the intense cut scenes and a bit of gameplay just want me to go to climb a mountain! Only just not when one is about to kill me.

5. Hitman

I’m starting to love the Hitman series and this one feels like a ground up for me to get it and feel like a psycho! I mean feel like a dangerous assassin, yes that’s what I mean. You’ve got to plan your move and if you’re not the strategy person, just go on in a rampage; though your mission might get even more difficult if you decide to do it.

4. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

I honestly thought I was watching a CGI movie of Deus Ex, it’s just mind blowing how far we’ve come to actual realistic human models. The gameplay is just astonishing to look at, and the same voice actor playing the protagonist is back so we could hear more of his gritty character again!

3. Earthbound Beginnings

When I first heard of it, I thought this was a new Earthbound game and I’m a huge Earthbound fan, so I almost made tears by hearing the news! But not exactly, it’s the port of the original first game coming to the U.S.A. after thirty years! Because just to remind you all that even though Earthbound was the first game coming to the U.S.A., in Japan it was the second, so we got the sequel of the game. Now after all those years we’re finally going to get the first game from Japan to us! Please Reggie give us Mother 3!

2. Xcom 2

I’m super excited for this game, I can’t believe a sequel to a glorious strategy game is finally coming! I was a bit disappointed to the expansion I bought from 2k because I thought that was the sequel, but it’s just the extended edition which I still had fun with it but not what I expected. That one is a sequel and this time we lost! How did that happen? But regardless we will fight back the aliens’ scum off our planet!

1. Fallout 4

I’m honestly not much of a huge fan of Fallout, but the series is starting to grow on me. I only play the first Fallout by Steam and I’ve got to say that was fun. The trailer I saw looks very promising, the gameplay I really love, I like the idea of the main protagonist talking instead of being silent. I really don’t know why people complain about the graphics, it looks very polished; it’s better then what I saw on Fallout 3 that’s for sure. The RPG elements mixed with fps is always a sweet pleasure, but the bomb of the presentation of the game is if you preorder the Pipboy edition you get the Pipboy watch which I thought it looks so cool by my wrist, checking if there is some radiation on my body or if there are mutants coming toward me. The last part I’m just starting to love about the series is the 50s theme, I’m a 50s theme guy and I love the looks of it all. Plus it looks like they might have a level where you explore the city of Boston before the event of Fallout, so that’s a plus in my book.

About Nick… “I am a studious person who loves reading and loves researching about virtually anything! I play the piano and every year I have to give a performance in a church. I love video games – especially when it’s a puzzle and action game. I would like to become a programmer one day in the field of computer science.
